Masters Season Details and Registration Summer 2024
Masters Competitive Team
Sweep and scull in team boats with coached practices targeted for participation in summer races. Racing commitment is not required and participants may just attend practices, but are encouraged to attend at least 1 of 2 scheduled summer races ( see Master Calender).

12-week: May 21st- Aug 8th
Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 6-8am
Saturday mornings, 8:30-10:30am
The following Saturdays will not have practice; 5/25 due to Juniors State Championship. Following Saturdays would be loading trailer for Sunday races on following day; 7/20, 8/3 . Evening sessions always open for an extra row, with Learn to Sweep class depending on schedules ( Tues – Thurs ) 6 to 8 pm starting June 4th .
Fees:
$450 plus the $200 Membership fee if not already obtained.
Expereinced Singles/Doubles Only
Havn’t passed Captains test yet? But are close… Captains Test class for intermediate rowers needing some review/ coached skill development time.
Schedule:
Tuesday THRU Friday mornings 6:00 to 8:00am (2 wks)
June 4th to June 14th
8 sessions over 2 weeks culminating with Captains test on Fri., June 14th
Fees:
$195
$175 for Members
Class is capped at 8 participants
ALREADY passed Captains test previously, but would like a refresher day or warm-up days with a coaches launch present, can attend same as above if all fees paid for season.
Developmental Sculling Open Row
MCRA will be offering Developmental Sculling open row days for those who are working towards their Captain's Test but want to fine tune their skills. Participants should complete LTR1 and LTR2 and must register as a Member prior to signing up for the open row. Consideration for those who have just completed LTR1 is at discretion of coaches. Sessions will run through the end of summer programming, August 10th, 2024.
Sessions capped at 6 participants
There will be a safety launch out on the water during these times however, this is not a coached session.

Saturday mornings, 8:30-10:30am

Intermediate, Prep for Captains Test, sculling in 1x, 2x, 4x
Cap: 6, minimum: 4
Evenings Tues/Wed/Thur, 6-8pm; Sat 8:30-10:30am
Session 1: June 18 - June 29
Session 2: July 2 to July 13 (no class 7/4)
Session 3: July 16 to July 28
Session 4: July 30 - Aug 10
Learn to Sweep
Beginner or long time away from sport, team focused sweep boats, 4+ and 8+
Cap: 10, minimum: 6
Evenings Tues/Wed/Thur, 6-8pm; Sat 8:30-10:30am
Session 1: June 4 - June 15
Session 2: June 18 - June 29
Session 3: July 2 to July 13 (no class 7/4)
Session 4: July 16 to July 28
Session 5: July 30 - Aug 10
Fees:
$195 per class per session
Please note that some classes have a participant cap. All classes can be repeated to increase comfort.
