Juniors Fall Season

New rowers welcome through September 26!

If your child is interested in trying out rowing before the full financial commitment, please email us at juniors@mcrarowing.org to join us for a practice. All participants need parent/guardians to complete the MCRA Liability Waiver, the MCRA Swim Attestation, and the US Rowing Learn to Row Membership ($10) before being able to participate.

We are excited to begin the fall season, continuing our momentum and community from the spring season! Both new and experienced rowers in grades 8 to 12 are welcome!

During the first part of fall season, we focus on improving and teaching technique as we begin training to prepare for fall head racing. From there, we continue to build our rowers' speed and strength on the water, with supplemental erg workouts, strength training, and cross training.  Utilizing concepts of mobility and mindfulness, we focus on preparing for the competitive racing part of the fall season and beyond while creating a strong endurance background for all rowers, especially those with plans to row at the college or university level.

Rowers also receive individualized training plans, targeted strength and fitness goals, and coached support to improve form and technique both on the water and on the erg.
