Juniors Winter Rowing

During the Winter Training season, we continue to build our rowers' speed and strength through weight training, bodywork, and erg training to build aerobic resilience, explosive power, and mental fortitude.  We focus on preparing for a competitive spring season and beyond while creating a strong 2k background for all rowers, especially those on the collegiate track with plans to row at the college or university level.

As a benefit of our partnership with the Brunswick Rec Center, all participants receive full member access to the Cardio Center, Weight Room, and Maine Coast ergs for the duration of the Winter Training period at any time outside of scheduled team training periods during normal facility operating hours.

Our full-session athletes will receive personal training plans tailored to their goals with specific strength and fitness markers in addition to the daily training support and supervision of guided strength training and exercise form development. On the ergometer, we will work on maintaining and improving form fundamentals with a disciplined rowing base technique that is critical to maintaining good form in the boat.
