Juniors Regatta Schedule
Spring 2026 Regattas
On Sunday, April 12th, MCRA Juniors will go down to the Wayneflete School in Portland for our annual Ergometer Comps.
Rowers from MCRA, Waynflete, and Megunticook will come together to race 2000 meters on the ergs.
More details to come.
MCRA will take a day trip to Lawrence, MA on April 18th for our Opening Day regatta. It is up to families if they would like to drive down the night before.

On May 23rd, 2026, we will head up north to Camden, ME for our annual Dirigo Cup, Maine State Championship regatta.

Summer 2026 Regattas
MCRA is planning our 2nd Annual Sturgeon Sprints with the Northern New England Club Rowing Association (NNECRA) teams. We are tentatively planning on late morning/early afternoon racing on July 18th, 2026.

MCRA will head down to Narragansett Boat Club to race at their Sweeps and Sculls Regatta.

Fall 2025 Regattas
Maine Coast Rowing Association will host our annual Cow Island Classic Regatta on Sunday, September 14th, 2025, early morning due to tides.

Celebrating the New England Juniors Community will bring us to Concord New Hampshire for our Fall Head race hosted by Concord rowing. This race is a scimmage with our Northern New England Club Rowing Association Partners: Concord Crew, Great Bay Rowing, and Greater Lawrence. This is a day race, families do not need lodging unless they choose to go down the night before. More details to come.
The New Hampshire Championships George Dirth Memorial Regatta, this year held on October 12th, 2025, is the largest New England rowing event north of Boston and is hosted by Amoskeag Rowing Club at Memorial Park in Pembroke, NH. The regatta is a 3-mile head race that starts upriver and finishes at the park. The NHCR attracts over 2,000 athletes rowing nearly 400 sculling and sweep boats.
Lodging for this regatta will be up to each participant. This regatta can be attended as a single, day trip. More information regarding arrival times, etc. will be posted here as they become available.

For the fourth fall, we will be returning to beautiful Saratoga Springs for the Halloween inspired Head of the Fish race. This race is a great opportunity to race against teams of all sizes including and outside of the New England area.
Rowers attending at required at least one night of lodging. All rowers will be expected to arrive on Saturday 10/25 for rigging, staying the night and racing Sunday 10/26. Some Varsity rowers will race on Saturday 10/25 and will require lodging on Friday 10/24. Monitor Team Snap for details regarding group lodgin options.
